Tanya Peters is the supporting antagonist in the third film. She is the gorgeous but deadly lover of Rocco Dillon.

Biography[]

Tanya (employed at a sperm bank and fertility clinic as an ordinary nurse) is the only starting index for the police to find the brain of a large-scale criminal operation. Lt. Frank Drebin of Police Squad is sent to approach Tanya and try to collect any information which could help find her accomplices.

However, Frank previously met the blonde and buxom bombshell back in the 1970s when he asked her to give a witness statement during a crime scene examination in a night club, so she could easily recognise him, even if she's a real blonde (with a real blonde brain & memory)!

Frank embarks on this mission anyway, and it turns out to be more difficult than it seems...

Tanya apparently enjoys eternal youth, for she looked exactly the same in the late 1970s (according to a flashback in the movie) as she did in the early '90s. She would then be about 40 years old in the "present day," but still looks 25.

Despite apparently being a dumb blonde, Tanya has an unusually complex personality. While she willingly helps criminals - and deranged, violent criminals at that - she herself is not murderous and lacks the bullying characteristics of the other members of the Dillon gang. When Frank goes undercover in the gang as the serial killer "Slasher McGurk," Tanya becomes fond of "Slasher" and appears to be genuinely kind to him. For all that, though, Tanya can be unbelievably cruel and rather disloyal as she tried seducing Frank who turned her down, knowing full well she belonged to Rocco but she insisted she could settle for two lovers. When Frank's wife, Jane, sees him being seduced by Tanya, she tearfully demands to know how Tanya could have done such a thing; Tanya who doesn't know Jane is Frank's wife is not at all sorry and smugly tells her, "You just stick your tongue down his throat as far as you can."

To her credit, Tanya does betray the gang in the end and help to save the lives of hundreds of people when Frank encounters her in the backstage dressing room at the Academy Awards. It is she who reveals to Drebin that the bomb was hidden in the "Best Picture" envelope. She never seems TRULY remorseful, however, so it could have been true that she simply had fallen for Frank and believed he would love her in return only if she were on the right side of the law.

However, Frank turns her down again when she tries to seduce him to distract Drebin from looking for the bomb. She kisses Frank passionately and forces him onto the bed, and then pulls the straps of her shimmering black ballgown to undress in front of Drebin. Frank is spellbound by her sumptuous breasts, but when he sees, to his horror, that she also has a large penis, he gags and runs away from her, ultimately barfing into a tuba of the stage orchestra.

It is unknown what her fate was afterwards: Tanya Peters drops out of the film completely after Frank discovers that she is a trans woman. Tanya is last mentioned by Nordberg when he asks Frank where she is, nearly causing Drebin, who has just unloaded the contents of his stomach down a tuba, to start throwing up again. It is assumed that she was arrested for helping Rocco with his crimes, possibly with a shorter sentence because she helped the police.

Tanya is a pretty and Junoesque lady with shoulder-length blonde curled hair, a tanned complexion, a mole on her left cheek, wears make-up and beauty products, has big breasts with tassels attached to her nipples, along with an overall curvaceous figure. She is shown through out the film wearing glamourous seductive outfits ranging from a pink swimsuit, a blue satin nightgown and a shimmering black ballgown.

Tanya was played by the late model and television personality Anna Nicole Smith. Naked Gun 33 1/3 was her second movie after The Hudsucker Proxy (1994).
Her final scene where Tanya was revealed to be a trans woman is actually a parody of the UK movie The Crying Game (1992).
